The truth!
First off, All Stars, I want to say how proud I am of you this season. You have learned much, and many of you will continue
in your basketball endeavors with great success.
Always listen to your coaches because they only have your best interest in mind.
I hope everyone is well for the final practice Thursday and the final game Saturday. I have a special item for each of
you after practice Thursday, in addition to the pizza!
As we look at this season, we have spent time looking at the many different fruits of the Spirit. Hopefully each of you
can name them! As we saw at the beginning of the year, the fruit of the Spirit is the sign of a healthy Christian life. If
our life is producing this fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
and self-control, we know that we are obeying God and His Spirit is working in our hearts. If we do not see these things in
our lives, we are not living the way God would want us to live.
This past week was our first loss of the season... but that doesn't mean you didn't play well, because everyone played
so hard. We learned that we need everyone on the team to be successful. The Bible says we are part of the body of Christ,
and when part of the body that doesn't function well it's hard to feel your best... just like having the flu, when you are
feeling weak.
You will all be missed greatly. So here's the plan for Saturday. We will use all of the skills that you have learned this
year, and win or lose we will have fun. The starting line-up for Saturday will be determined at practice Thursday.
Prayers for the sick to recover so our whole team can play our final game together as the All Star family!
